GEAA
The Genetically Evolved Adolescent Academy
Founded in 1967 by Sir Isaac Trouse, a political activist and millionaire who strove to build a safe haven for adolescents with superhuman abilities, GEAA is a gorgeous academy stretched across 34 square miles of rural land in Southern England. Students are accepted from all over the world, with grants being offered to those unable to accept the tuition costs.
The school is broken up into four grades, determined by an individuals level of control over their abilities as well as the number of years they have attended the academy. For example, a student with meek control of their abilities may be a Freshman but also a 3rd year. A student's level of control is determined at the end of each year during a "field exam", in which they partake in a series of training exercises and theoretical situations.
"Special Needs" students, basically students who require the services of GEAA before the age of 15, or students who are unable to gain control of their abilities in four years' time, are accommodated in various ways. Special housing is offered to younger children, whom are "fostered" by a member of staff until they are of age. Older students are taken on as staff themselves, such as teacher aids, security, etc.
Because the academy is so removed from the rest of the world, the nearest city is 34 miles away and requires either a very long walk or a car-drive to get anywhere. Students are able to order supplies from outside of the academy once a month, such as special snacks, electronics, and other necessities, using their own money, of course.
Dormitories are separated into eight buildings that circle around the rest of the academy. Students are split up by gender and year, so for example all boys who entered the academy in 2009 go to the same building. Dorms are apartment-style, with a small kitchen, bathroom, and a bedroom with three beds, dressers, and a television. Three students to a room normally, but more dangerous students sometimes are allowed exceptions.
